Referral partner terms
Plain-language terms for partners and the people they refer.
Who can join
Individuals, businesses, organizations and community groups. We approve every partner and can decline or end a partnership at any time.
Discount for the people you refer
A customer who uses your link or code gets 5% off their estimate. The discount applies to new customers only and cannot be combined with other offers unless we say so in writing. The code must be used when the quote request is sent.
Your commission
- You earn 3% of the job price before HST, after the discount.
- Commission is earned only after the referred customer has paid for the work.
- If a job is cancelled or refunded, the commission is cancelled or reduced to match.
- If more than one partner could be credited, the partner whose link or code the customer used first gets the credit.
- You cannot earn commission on your own purchases or on those of your household or business. We review referrals that look like this.
Payment
We pay by e-transfer or cheque. Balances below $50 wait until they reach that amount. You are responsible for any tax on what you earn. Businesses that charge HST may need to give us an invoice. Individuals may receive a T4A slip where the law requires it. Please check with your own accountant.
How to share
Tell people honestly that you receive a reward for referrals. Do not send unsolicited bulk messages or use misleading claims. Do not say you work for Your Cabinet.
Privacy
When someone is referred, we keep their details to give them a quote. In your dashboard you see only their first name, last initial, service, city and status. You will never see their phone number, email or address. We keep your contact details only to run the program and pay you.
Changes
We may change the discount, the commission or these terms. Changes apply to new referrals. We will email partners about changes.
