Who we are

What we collect
- Quote and contact forms: name, phone, email, postal code, project details and the choices you make in the instant quote.
- Referral program: if you apply as a partner, your name, organization, contact details, city and payment details. If you arrive through a referral link, we keep the referral code with your request.
- Community Perks: if you join, your name, email, city, optional phone number and the perks you claim and attend. A sponsor sees only how many people claimed and attended, unless you agree to share more. We also keep event and sponsor submissions (names, emails, phone numbers and event details).
- Emails and calls: what you send us and what we send you about your project.
- Basic website data: your browser keeps a referral code in local storage so the discount applies. Our hosting provider records standard server logs (such as IP address and pages visited).
How we use it
- To prepare your estimate, contact you and carry out your project.
- To run Community Perks: confirm claims, apply the monthly limit and pause accounts after missed events.
- To pay referral commissions and apply referral discounts, and to check for misuse.
- To send the confirmation, follow-up and project emails you expect.
- To keep our website secure and working.
We do not sell your information. We send marketing emails only if you agree, and every one has an unsubscribe option.
Who sees it
Our team sees your information. Service providers that help us run the business, such as website hosting, email, and accounting and quoting software, process it for us under their own privacy terms. We share information with others only if you ask us to, or if the law requires it. A referral partner can see that someone they referred is in progress, and the status and amount of their commission. They are not given the customer's contact details or project details.
Cookies and local storage
We use a small amount of browser storage for the referral code and form progress. If we add analytics or advertising tools later, we will list them here and ask for consent where required.
How long we keep it
We keep quote requests and project records as long as needed for service, warranty, tax and legal reasons, then delete or anonymize them. Partner payment records are kept for tax reporting.
Security
We limit access, use secure connections and keep software up to date. No system is perfectly secure, so please do not send sensitive information such as banking passwords or ID numbers by email.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your personal information, or withdraw your consent, by emailing yourcabinet.ca@gmail.com. We reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version.
